Loading the barrel:Renowned as retailers of high quality jewellery in Newcastle's exclusive Eldon Garden shopping centre, Richard Sinton Jewellers embarked on an ambitious expansion programme with two new shops opening at the same location. Whilst Image would sell lower cost designer jewellery to a younger market in a young hip sister store, Twenty Five was a whole new direction for the company, selling an eclectic mix of interior design furniture, gifts and accessories in a home and furniture haven under the Richard Sinton umbrella.
The colour mix:
The campaign started by utilising the agency's design talent to create new brands and advertising campaigns for both shops, different from their big brother jewellery store but with a style and flair that reflected the common heritage of quality and value. At the same time, Silver Bullet's experience in the high quality retail sector and close contacts with local media created an awareness of developments in the three shops which included the refurbishment of the original store into dedicated designer areas.
The impact:
In a harsh economic climate, many doubted that even Richard Sinton could pull this expansion off, but the three shops have not only survived but are thriving with an increasing customer base who are becoming regular shoppers. The agency's design and PR skills have contributed greatly to this success.
